Solarians begin minting as 9-decimal pre-Metaplex tokens
The first Solarian, from an on-chain generative robot collection, was minted on April 7, 2021 as a pre-Metaplex token: a 9-decimal token with a supply of one and no on-chain name, image or edition record, two months before the Metaplex NFT standard launched. Solarians used a bonding curve that took the mint price from 4.8 SOL to 35 SOL. On August 3, 2021 the team switched new mints to the Metaplex format and gave the earlier tokens Metaplex metadata; Solarian #9900 was minted on August 31, 2021.
